United World Wrestling (UWW) has launched its dedicated UWW+ multi-tiered, over-the-top (OTT) service as part of an upgrade to its digital inventory and data-management systems. The subscription service made its debut at the 2023 UWW World Championships, held in Belgrade, Serbia, and was hugely influential in achieving record digital viewership for the tournament.
Behind the platform’s success, N3XT Sports supported the integration of UWW+ within the revamped UWW website and mobile app, connected by a unique web login functionality that adopts the International Federation’s (IF) first ever single sign-on (SSO). The integration will assist UWW’s digital fan strategy in the build-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
